India’s First Jewellery Brand–Led Marathon Registered for a Guinness World Record Attempt

Mumbai: KISNA Diamond and Gold Jewellery (Hari Krishna Group) successfully organized the landmark 10th edition of the KISNA Diamond Marathon. While the marathon completed its 10th edition in Mumbai, it marked a historic national milestone as, for the first time, a jewellery brand organized a marathon simultaneously across 56 other cities in India. This made the initiative a unique, nationwide achievement.

Held under the theme “Swachh Bharat, Swasth Bharat”, the marathon took place concurrently in 57 cities across the country and was officially registered as a Guinness World Record attempt.

The event received an overwhelming response, with over 20,000 runners registering nationwide, including more than 5,000 participants in Mumbai alone. In Mumbai, races were conducted in the 5 km, 10 km, and 21 km categories, while in the other cities, a 5 km run was flagged off simultaneously at 7:00 a.m.

The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Padma Shri Ujjwal Nikam as Chief Guest, along with Kirit Bhansali (Chairman, GJEPC), Motilal Oswal (Chairman, Motilal Oswal Group), and Rajeev Jalota (Advisor, Indian Port Authority) as Guests of Honour. Winners in the 21 km, 10 km, and 5 km categories were felicitated by the distinguished guests. The marathon was officially flagged off by renowned actor Manoj Joshi.

The proceeds from the event were dedicated to the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
